01:32 PM EST, 11/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were higher Monday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.2% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 0.5%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 0.2%.

In corporate news, Nvidia ( NVDA ) shares rose 1.8% after S&P Dow Jones Indices said the company will replace Intel ( INTC ) in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, effective Friday. Intel ( INTC ) shares fell nearly 3%.
