The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 1.1%.

In corporate news, Palantir Technologies ( PLTR ) shares jumped 22%. The company reported Q3 adjusted earnings late Monday of $0.10 per share, up from $0.07 a year earlier and above the Capital IQ consensus estimate of $0.09. Revenue was $725.5 million, up from $558.2 million in the year-ago period and above the Capital IQ consensus of $703.7 million.
