03:28 PM EST, 11/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks fell late Wednesday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) declining 1.5% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) dropping 1.2%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index shed 1.7%.

In corporate news, Symbotic ( SYM ) shares plunged 39% after the company submitted a notification of late filing for its annual report for the fiscal year ending Sept. 28, saying additional time was needed to correct an error related to revenue recognition and the impact of that error on financial reporting.
