The Philadelphia Semiconductor index shed 0.2%.

In corporate news, Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI introduced a beta feature for scheduling tasks in ChatGPT. The feature lets users schedule actions, including one-time reminders and recurring updates, OpenAI said Tuesday in a blog post. Separately, Pearson (PSO) and Microsoft ( MSFT ) said Tuesday that they have entered into a multi-year partnership to provide new AI products and services. Microsoft ( MSFT ) shares were down 1.4%, and Pearson shares were rising 2%.
