The Philadelphia Semiconductor index shed 0.9%.

In corporate news, eBay ( EBAY ) said Thursday it's collaborating with Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) OpenAI to integrate AI advancements into its e-commerce platform. EBay ( EBAY ) shares added 1.1%, and Microsoft ( MSFT ) fell 0.3%.
