08:45 AM EST, 02/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were mixed premarket Monday, with The Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.4% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 0.2% lower.

WeRide ( WRD ) shares were up past 14% after the company said it received approval to launch its latest robotaxi model, the GXR, for fully unmanned paid raid-hailing services in Beijing, China.

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened strong at 76.40 against the American dollar. However, it pared gains later to enter the negative territory as investors turned cautious amid intensifying Russia-Ukraine conflict. During the day, it moved in the range of 76.32 and 76.68. The local unit quoted at 76.60 against the dollar at 1530 hrs, down 6 paise from the previous close.
