01:36 PM EDT, 03/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed Tuesday afternoon with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.2% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) shedding 0.7%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index fell 0.8%.

In sector news, tech companies such as Nvidia (NVDA) and Oracle (ORCL), as well as foreign government officials, are urging the Trump administration to reconsider its planned restrictions on AI chip exports, Bloomberg reported.

In corporate news, Apple ( AAPL ) is likely to avoid a possible fine after the company changed the iPhone's browser design to comply with the Digital Markets Act, and the European Commission is poised to conclude its investigation early next week, Reuters reported. Apple ( AAPL ) shares rose 0.9%.
