01:34 PM EDT, 06/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were higher Tuesday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.3% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) climbing 2.1%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 2%.

In corporate news, Meta (META) has agreed to buy a 49% stake in Scale AI for $14.8 billion and will place the data labeling startup's Chief Executive Alexandr Wang in a top position at the company, The Information reported. Separately, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is putting together a team of experts to achieve artificial general intelligence, Bloomberg reported. Meta shares added 0.5%.
