The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index gained 0.8%.

In corporate news, MicroCloud Hologram ( HOLO ) purchased up to $200 million in bitcoin (BTC-USD) and cryptocurrency-related securities derivatives with a cumulative investment income of $34.7 million as Thursday. MicroCloud shares rose 3.7%.
