08:47 AM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were advancing premarket Monday with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.1% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) 0.2% higher recently.

Block (XYZ) will join the S&P 500 index, effective Wednesday, replacing Hess, S&P Global (SPGI) division S&P Dow Jones Indices said. Shares of Block were up more than 9% pre-bell.
