01:24 PM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks gained Monday afternoon with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.5% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) rising 1.5%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index added 1.4%.

In sector news, Carlyle Group (CG) and Warburg Pincus agreed to sell Neogov, a human resources software provider, to Sweden's EQT in a deal valued at $3 billion, including debt, Reuters reported.

In corporate news, Meta Platforms ( META ) is expected to deliver a Q2 earnings beat with revenue at the high end of guidance, BofA securities said. Meta shares rose 0.4%.
