03:29 PM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks rose late Monday afternoon with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.7% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) gaining 1.6%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index added 1.6%.

In sector news, Microsoft ( MSFT ) is facing a lawsuit filed by Rosneft-backed Nayara Energy for allegedly suspending critical services to the Indian oil refiner, news outlets reported, citing Nayara. Microsoft ( MSFT ) shares fell 0.6%.
