03:40 PM EDT, 08/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks gained late Monday afternoon with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) rising 1.7% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 2%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index advanced 1.4%.

In corporate news, Verb Technology ( VERB ) shares soared 127% after it said Monday it has priced a private placement of about 58.7 million common shares at $9.51 per share for expected gross proceeds of roughly $558 million.
