01:10 PM EDT, 08/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed Wednesday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) decreasing 0.2% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 0.5%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 0.3%.

In corporate news, Sapiens International ( SPNS ) shares surged 44%. The company on Wednesday agreed to be acquired and taken private by private equity firm Advent in an all-cash deal that values the insurance software solutions provider at about $2.5 billion.
