The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index advanced 0.8%.

In corporate news, Apple ( AAPL ) is planning an AI comeback with a slew of new devices including robots, a lifelike version of Siri and home-security cameras, Bloomberg reported. Apple ( AAPL ) shares added 1.7%.
