The Philadelphia Semiconductor index added 3.1%.

In corporate news, Intel ( INTC ) has agreed to provide a 10% stake to the US worth roughly $10 billion, President Donald Trump told reporters Friday at the White House, according to a Bloomberg report. Intel ( INTC ) shares jumped past 6%.
