03:36 PM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks rose late Monday afternoon with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) gaining 0.7% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 1.2%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 0.7%.

In corporate news, QuantumScape ( QS ) shares jumped 21% after the company and Volkswagen's battery company PowerCo unveiled the QS solid-state lithium-metal batteries at an event in Germany.
