The Philadelphia Semiconductor index rose 0.2%.

In corporate news, Adobe (ADBE) is likely faced with mixed business trends in fiscal Q3 amid low expectations, Oppenheimer said in a Tuesday note. The investment firm cut the company's price target to $460 from $500, while keeping its outperform rating. Adobe shares were down 1%.
