The Philadelphia Semiconductor index was shedding 0.3%.

In corporate news, CoreWeave ( CRWV ) said Thursday that it expanded its collaboration with OpenAI, securing a new contract worth up to $6.5 billion to help the Microsoft ( MSFT )-backed (MSFT) AI lab boost its computing power. CoreWeave ( CRWV ) shares were down 0.9%.
