03:16 PM EDT, 10/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks declined late Thursday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) down 0.2% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) shedding 1.1%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index was down 0.1%.

In corporate news, F5 (FFIV) shares dropped more than 11% after Bloomberg reported that the company's systems were allegedly breached by state-backed hackers from China. The cybersecurity firm reported the breach Wednesday in a regulatory filing.
