01:04 PM EDT, 07/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were higher Wednesday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) up 0.1% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 0.8%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 1.1%.

In corporate news, Qualcomm ( QCOM ) shares rose 1.8% after it said Wednesday that its Snapdragon chips will be used in Samsung's new smartphones, wearables, and intelligent eyewear.
