Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) was fined a total of 890 million euros ($1.04 billion) by the European Commission on Thursday after the regulator found the company violated the Digital Markets Act through self-preferencing in Google Search and anti-steering practices on Google Play. Shares of Alphabet were down more than 4% pre-bell.
