04:33 PM EDT, 06/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks finished higher Monday, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.9% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 1.5%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index advanced 1.6%.
In corporate news, Keysight Technologies ( KEYS ) shares added 0.8%. The company must divest Spirent Communications' high-speed ethernet testing, network security testing and RF channel emulation units in order to resolve antitrust concerns and proceed with its $1.5 billion acquisition of the company, the US Department of Justice said Monday.
Meta (META) shares rose 3.6%. The company plans to use AI for full automation of advertisement creation and targeting by the end of 2026, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Applied Digital ( APLD ) shares surged 48.5% after the company said it signed two leases of about 15 years each with CoreWeave ( CRWV ) . CoreWeave ( CRWV ) shares were up 8%.
Science Applications International's ( SAIC ) fiscal Q1 earnings trailed analysts' estimates, while the US government services contractor expects business volatility to continue in the near term amid the Trump administration's focus on efficiency. Its shares tumbled 13%.
