Sector Update: Tech Stocks Decline Pre-Bell Tuesday

09:11 AM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were declining pre-bell Tuesday, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) down 1.2% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF ( XSD ) 0.3% lower.

Qualcomm ( QCOM ) and its unit, Qualcomm Atheros, are facing a motion from ParkerVision, which asked the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to expedite its appeal in a long-running patent infringement case. Qualcomm ( QCOM ) shares were down 2% premarket.

Ericsson (ERIC) was up more than 15% after the company reported higher Q3 earnings.

Rekor Systems ( REKR ) shares were up more than 14% after the company said it expects record Q3 revenue of between $13.9 million and $14.3 million.
