In corporate news, Nvidia ( NVDA ) plans to invest $1 billion to develop an AI-focused green data center in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing an announcement by Governor Samuel Garcia alongside representatives from Nvidia ( NVDA ). Nvidia ( NVDA ) shares were up 0.1%.
Amazon ( AMZN )-backed (AMZN) Anthropic said Wednesday it will invest $50 billion in American computing infrastructure, including the construction of custom data centers in Texas and New York, with more sites to be announced. Amazon ( AMZN ) shares were down 1.7%.
