09:10 AM EDT, 07/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Technology stocks were edging higher premarket Wednesday with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.5% and the iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF ( IGM ) advanced 0.2% recently.

TELUS Digital Experience (TIXT) shares were up more than 2% after the company said its board of directors has formed a special committee comprised of six independent directors to evaluate an acquisition proposal from TELUS ( TU ) and any relevant alternatives.

The number of customers using Arm Holdings ( ARM )-based (ARM) chips in data centers has jumped to about 70,000, representing a 14-fold gain since 2021, Reuters reported, citing the company. Shares of Arm Holdings ( ARM ) were 1.1% higher premarket.

Palantir Technologies ( PLTR ) and Tomorrow.io said they have partnered to integrate the weather modeling platform's data and predictive insights into Palantir's ( PLTR ) platforms. Shares of Palantir Technologies ( PLTR ) were up 0.2% pre-bell.
