03:54 PM EDT, 03/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks rose late Monday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) adding 2% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) jumping 3.5%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 3.2%.

In corporate news, Ten Holdings ( XHLD ) shares soared 49%. The company will add conversational AI solutions to its service offering in partnership with V-Cube, its controlling shareholder.

Rapid7 ( RPD ) shares were up past 4% after it said it will appoint three new board members under a cooperation agreement that it entered into with Jana Partners Management.

Roper Technologies ( ROP ) said that it has agreed to buy CentralReach, an autism therapy software provider, in a $1.65 billion deal. Roper shares added 0.9%.

Apple ( AAPL ) committed up to 720 million Chinese renminbi ($99.3 million) to expand its clean energy capacity in China. Apple ( AAPL ) shares rose 0.8%.
