The Philadelphia Semiconductor index decreased 0.8%.
In sector news, China will levy anti-dumping duties on certain cut-off shifted single-mode optical fiber from the US, effective Thursday, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing a statement from China's Commerce Ministry.
