01:39 PM EDT, 10/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed Thursday afternoon with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) rising 0.4% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) shedding 0.5%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index increased 0.8%.
In corporate news, Salesforce ( CRM ) said late Wednesday it is targeting over $60 billion in revenue by fiscal year 2030, excluding the impact from its deal with Informatica. Salesforce ( CRM ) also outlined plans to buy back another $7 billion worth of shares over the next six months. Salesforce ( CRM ) shares gained 4.7%.
Alphabet's (GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) and Salesforce ( CRM ) said Thursday they have expanded their partnership by integrating Google Gemini's AI models into Salesforce's ( CRM ) Agentforce 360 Platform. Alphabet shares added 0.6%.
Microsoft ( MSFT ) on Thursday unveiled a series of new updates to its Windows 11 operating system aimed at making its Copilot AI assistant more accessible to users. Its shares were down 0.3%.
Snowflake (SNOW) and Palantir ( PLTR ) said they formed a partnership to help companies build data pipelines, faster data analytics, and AI applications. Snowflake shares rose 0.5%, and Palantir ( PLTR ) increased 0.4%.
