The Philadelphia Semiconductor index decreased 0.7%.
In corporate news, Apple ( AAPL ) may top Wall Street's estimates for its fiscal Q4 sales amid robust demand for the iPhone 17 in the US and China, with the tech giant close to reaching the $4 trillion market capitalization milestone, according to Wedbush Securities. Apple ( AAPL ) shares added 0.5%.
CoreWeave ( CRWV ) will not increase its $9 billion offer for Core Scientific ( CORZ ) despite opposition from some shareholders, Bloomberg reported, citing Chief Executive Michael Intrator. CoreWeave ( CRWV ) shares fell 2.6%, while Core Scientific ( CORZ ) climbed 3.3%.
