03:50 PM EDT, 04/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks fell late Tuesday afternoon with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) decreasing 0.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) falling 1.4%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index eased 0.1%.
In corporate news, Oracle's (ORCL) appointment of Hilary Maxson as its chief financial officer, succeeding Doug Kehring, is seen as a positive change, with the company positioning this move as part of a planned transition, UBS said in a research note. Separately, Pacific Investment Management is in talks with Bank of America (BAC) on a deal to help provide about $14 billion in debt financing to build an Oracle data center in Michigan, Bloomberg reported.
