02:15 PM EST, 01/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were higher Tuesday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) rising 1.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) climbing 2.9%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index popped 2.6%.

In corporate news, OneStream ( OS ) shares surged 28%. The firm said Tuesday it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Hg in an all-cash deal valuing the company at about $6.4 billion in equity value.

Sandisk ( SNDK ) shares climbed 22% amid a surge in intraday trading volume to more than 17.9 million from a daily average of about 10.7 million.

Marvell Technology ( MRVL ) said it has struck a deal to acquire XConn Technologies for about $540 million in cash and stock. Marvell ( MRVL ) shares were down 2%.
