Indian benchmark indices, the S&P BSE Sensex and NSE's Nifty 50, consolidated gains in the morning session on Friday, led by stocks such as Bajaj Finance, Zee Entertainment and Hindustan Unilever.

At 11:38 AM, the Sensex was up 229.83 points, or 0.61 percent, at 37,624.53, while the Nifty 50 advanced 57.60 points, or 0.51 percent, at 11,314.70.
Among the key sectoral indices, Nifty FMCG rose 1.35 percent followed by the media index, which was up 1.13 percent. Nifty Pharma was down 1.71 percent, dragged by Aurobindo Pharma, Cadila Healthcare and Lupin.
Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Hero MotoCorp, Zee Entertainment and Mahindra & Mahindra gained between 2-6 percent, whereas Hindalco, Indian Oil Corporation, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports and ONGC were the top laggards.
Yes Bank shares rose as much as 6 percent on Friday after CEO Ravneet Gill cleared the air surrounding the appointment of RBI ex-deputy governor R Gandhi as an additional director to the bank.
Shares of PNB Housing Finance dipped over 5 percent after PNB called off the deal to sell its stake in the company.
Asian markets traded mixed on Friday. Hang Seng Index slipped by 1.17 percent while Shanghai declined 1.92 percent at 2,899.03.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was down 0.50 percent.
