Smithfield Foods Joins Russell 1000 Index; Shares Advance Premarket

07:02 AM EDT, 03/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Smithfield Foods ( SFD ) said Monday it has joined the Russell 1000 Index.

The inclusion became effective Friday.

The company's shares were up 3.7% in recent premarket activity Monday.
