MUMBAI, Sept 16 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 0.5% at 82,226, while
the broader NSE Nifty 50 rose 0.5% to 25,200, tracking
gains in regional equities on wagers that the U.S. Federal
Reserve will resume its easing cycle.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee rose 0.2% versus the U.S. dollar to
88.05, aided by gains in Asian peers and modest interbank dollar
selling interest.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.91
rupees, with the yield a tad down at 6.4829%, as investors await
upcoming Federal Reserve policy decision.
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate was
marginally down at 5.4650%, while the five-year swap rate
was flat at 5.71%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate was at 5.50%, and
the overnight TREPS rate was at 5.39%.
