MUMBAI, March 21 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 590.6 points, or 0.82%,
to 72,692.29, while the broader NSE index gained 184.55
points, or 0.85%, to 22,023.65 after the U.S. Federal Reserve
maintained its projection of three rate cuts this year.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee was flat versus the U.S. dollar, and
quoted at 83.1475 per dollar as local dollar demand ate into the
currency's early gains.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 100.86
rupees, with the yield down 4 bps at 7.0517%, tracking a fall in
U.S. yields.
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate was down 5
bps at 6.68%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate
fell 4 bps to 6.33%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 20 bps at
6.65%. The overnight TREPS rate was at 6.79%,
compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.4947%.
