Oct 15 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 0.7% at 82,605.43,
while the broader NSE Nifty 50 index advanced 0.71% to
25,323.55, as growing expectations of a U.S. Federal Reserve
rate cut and optimism over an earnings rebound buoyed sentiment.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee rose 0.81% versus the U.S. dollar to
88.075, as firm central bank intervention hoisted the currency
with traders also cited unwinding of bearish wagers on the
currency.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.94
rupees, with the yield down 3 bps at 6.4799%
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate was
flat at 5.42%, while the five-year swap rate
dropped more than 1 bp to 5.5825%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate was at 5% and the
overnight TREPS rate was at 5.15%.
