Social Buzz: Wallstreetbets Stocks Mixed Premarket Thursday; Carvana to Advance, Arm Holdings to Decline

06:48 AM EDT, 08/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The most-talked-about stocks in the Reddit subforum Wallstreetbets were mixed hours before Thursday's opening bell.

Carvana ( CVNA ) rose by 13.4% in premarket activity, extending gains after closing Wednesday with a 5.1% increase. Carvana ( CVNA ) reported Q2 earnings of $0.14 per diluted share, compared with a loss of $0.55 a year earlier.

Meta Platforms ( META ) advanced by 7.2% in pre-bell hours, following a 2.5% increase from the previous session. The company reported Q2 earnings of $5.16 per diluted share, up from $2.98 a year earlier.

Amazon.com ( AMZN ) was 1.3% higher premarket, after a 2.9% increase at Wednesday's close.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) was up 0.9% hours before market open, following a 12.8% rise from the previous session.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) advanced by 0.6% pre-bell, swinging from a 1.1% decline at Wednesday's close.

Arm Holdings ( ARM ) fell by 10.5% in premarket hours, reversing an 8.4% increase from the previous session. Arm reported fiscal Q1 non-GAAP earnings of $0.40 per diluted share, up from $0.24 a year earlier.

AST SpaceMobile ( ASTS ) was down 0.9% in pre-bell activity, swinging from an 18% increase at Wednesday's close.

Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) was 0.4% lower premarket, swinging from a 4.4% increase at Wednesday's close.
