Social Buzz: Wallstreetbets Stocks Moslty Higher Premarket Thursday; Micron Technology to Gain, Apple to Decline

06:56 AM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The most-talked-about stocks in the Reddit subforum Wallstreetbets were mostly higher hours before Thursday's opening bell.

Micron Technology ( MU ) was up 17.8% in premarket hours, adding to its 2.4% gain from the previous session. Micron Technology ( MU ) reported fiscal Q2 non-GAAP diluted earnings of $0.42 per share, compared to a loss of $1.91 a year earlier.

Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) rose by 2.3% hours before market open, reversing a 1.6% decline at Wednesday's close.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) was 3.6% higher in pre-bell activity, advancing further after closing Wednesday with a 1.4% increase.

Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) was up 1.8% hours before the opening bell, reversing a 0.9% drop from the previous session.

Intel ( INTC ) rose by 1.3% in premarket activity after closing Wednesday with a 0.4% increase.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) advanced by 1.2% in pre-bell hours, adding to its 1.1% increase from Wednesday's session.

Tesla (TSLA) was 0.4% higher before the opening bell, still advancing after a 2.5% increase at Wednesday's close.

Bucking the trend, Apple ( AAPL ) was 1.2% lower in premarket hours, reversing a 1.5% rise from the previous session. Apple ( AAPL ) is facing a lawsuit over its alleged violation of US antitrust laws in restricting its rivals' access to the iPhone's hardware and software features, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
