Social Buzz: Wallstreetbets Stocks Mostly Lower Premarket Wednesday; Starbucks, Super Micro Computer to Decline

07:22 AM EDT, 05/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The most-talked-about stocks in the Reddit subforum Wallstreetbets were mostly lower hours before Wednesday's opening bell.

Trump Media & Technology Group ( DJT ) stock was up over 5% in pre-bell hours, advancing further after closing Tuesday with a 6.9% increase.

Amazon.com ( AMZN ) shares were 2.1% higher in premarket activity, swinging from a 3.3% decline from the previous session. Amazon.com ( AMZN ) reported Q1 earnings of $0.98 per diluted share, up from $0.31 a year earlier.

Canopy Growth ( CGC ) stock was up 1.8% before market open, still advancing after a 78.9% rally in the previous session.

Starbucks ( SBUX ) shares were nearly 13% lower in premarket hours after a 0.2% increase at Tuesday's close. Starbucks ( SBUX ) reported fiscal Q2 non-GAAP earnings of $0.68 per share, down from $0.74 a year earlier.

Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) stock was down 11% in pre-bell activity, slipping further after closing Tuesday with a 3.5% fall. Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) reported fiscal Q3 non-GAAP net income of $6.65 per diluted share, up from $1.63 a year earlier. Net sales for the quarter ended March 31 came in at $3.85 billion, up from $1.28 billion a year earlier but lower than Capital IQ analysts' forecast of $3.90 billion.

Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) shares were 6.7% lower hours before market open following a 1.1% decline from the previous session. AMD reported Q1 non-GAAP earnings of $0.62 per diluted share, up from $0.60 a year earlier.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) stock was down 2.3% in premarket activity, still down after a 1.5% decline in the previous session.

Tesla (TSLA) shares were 2.9% lower pre-bell following a 5.6% fall at Tuesday's close.
