02:40 PM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SpaceX (SPCX) unit said Wednesday it is releasing Grok 4.6, which builds on Grok 4.5, and matches GPT-5.6 Sol on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index.

Grok 4.6 had a longer supplemental training period than Grok 4.5, with model-generated data for reasoning and advanced technical concepts, according to a statement.

Grok 4.6 produces better first passes on visual and interactive projects than Grok 4.5, the company said. Pricing starts at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, it added.

Shares of SpaceX rose more than 11% in Wednesday trading.
