Shares of Century Plyboards are up 1.4 percent today, extending gains, after a day's lapse. The stock has been in the green for six out of the last seven trading sessions. The stock has gained 36.7 percent in the last six months.

The company informed the stock exchanges today that the manufacturing operations of its subsidiary Century Gabon SUARL was partially impacted because of the ongoing political turmoil in Gabon, South Africa. The country witnessed a coup this week.

The company said the plant was shut down on August 31 and normal operations were restored the following day.

It says in view of the present situation, it does not see any significant impact of the situation on the financial performance of the subsidiary. It expects the situation to be normal within a few days.
