Nifty Bank Live Update | Cratering From The Day's High

The Nifty Bank index has slipped into the red. During the first hour, it almost seemed as if the index would end up conquering the 45,000 mark, but failed to do so.

The index is now down 500 points from the day's high and only four out of the 12 stocks are trading with gains.

Coforge Block Deal | Its Official Now!

Baring Private Equity Asia has sold its remaining 26.6 percent stake in Coforge in a block deal valued at $924 million, according to a statement. With this, Baring has made its exit in Coforge, selling nearly 70 percent equity in the stock over the last four years.

But Coforge is in a league of its own with shares rising over 9 percent after the deal and the Jefferies upgrade. The stock is also the top gainer on the Nifty IT index.
