Bank Nifty Live Today: Index Outperforms

The Nifty Bank index is trading 0.8 percent higher as of 1:20 PM, outperforming the benchmark indices which are trading flat.

Bank of Baroda is the top gainer on the index, trading 5.5 percent higher, followed by PNB, which is trading with gains of 2.5 percent.

11 out of the 12 index constituents are trading with gains.

Hindalco among top Nifty gainers

The stock is currently trading 1.4 percent higher at Rs 470.80. The stock has recovered over Rs 10 from the lowest point of the day and is among the top gainers on the Nifty 50 index.
