Stock recommendations by Sudarshan Sukhani, Mitessh Thakkar, Prakash Gaba for Tuesday

Indian indices are set to open higher following positive trade data and IMD monsoon forecast. Meanwhile, Asian stocks hovered below a nine-month peak on Tuesday after disappointing bank earnings dented Wall Street. Stock-specific action will be in focus as investors will look out for the March-quarter earnings of individual stocks.

India's trade deficit narrowed to $10.89 billion as compared to $13.51 billion in the corresponding period last year, according to official data released on Monday. Exports grew significantly by 11 percent to $32.55 billion in March on account of higher growth in various sectors.

Benchmark indices started the week on a positive note with the Nifty50 reclaiming 11,700 levels, driven by banks, auto, metals and select technology stocks. BSE Sensex rose 138.73 points to close at 38,905.84 while the Nifty50 gained 46.90 points at 11,690.40.

Among stocks, Sudarshan Sukhani is bullish on Ajanta Pharma, Divis Labs, JSW Steel, and ACC, and bearish on Can Fin Homes. Mitessh Thakkar is positive on Kotak Mahindra Bank, GSFC and CESC. Prakash Gaba prefers buying L&T Finance Holdings and Raymond, and selling DCB Bank.
