Sun Pharmaceutical Industries' reported September quarter's consolidated net profit at Rs 1,812.79 crore as against Rs 1,064 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, a jump of 70 percent year-on-year (YoY).

Revenue from operations (on a consolidated basis) rose 5.3 percent YoY to Rs 8,553.13 crore as compared to Rs 8,123 crore for the same quarter last year.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) climbed 22.5 percent YoY to Rs 2,193.3 crore as compared to last year's Rs 1,789.7 crore.

On a standalone basis, the pharma giant's net profit declined to Rs 725 crore from Rs 823 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations also declined to Rs 3,365 crore as compared to Rs 3,632 crore YoY.
