02:51 PM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) shares were down more than 7% in recent Monday trading after Nasdaq said the company will be removed from the Nasdaq-100 Index following an annual reconstitution of the index.

The updated index will become effective prior to market open Dec. 23, according to a Nasdaq statement late Friday.
