08:10 AM EDT, 04/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US equity futures were lower pre-bell Wednesday as traders awaited President Donald Trump's tariff policy announcement.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 0.5%, S&P 500 futures declined 0.6%, and Nasdaq futures were 0.8% lower.

The White House is scheduled to unveil Trump's latest import levy plans at 4 pm ET.

Private payrolls based on ADP Institute's employment report, scheduled for release at 8:15 am ET, are seen rising by 118,000 in March after a 77,000 increase in February, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg.

Factory orders, due at 10 am ET, are expected to have risen by 0.5% in February after January's 1.7% increase.
