These 12 stocks have rallied more than 50% since last Holi

The festival of colours, Holi, is here and CNBC-TV18.com has compiled a list of stocks that have risen over 50 percent since last Holi.

During the last Holi, India's benchmark index Sensex stood at 34,046.94 while 50-share Nifty was at 10,458. Since then, Sensex has rallied more than 4,000 points while Nifty has gained as much as 1,000 points.

Let's take a look at the stocks that have given 50 to 100 percent returns since last Holi:

However, this year, we are clearly witnessing a pre-election rally backed by foreign institutional investors (FII) inflows. Market participants look highly motivated amid expectations of Modi government coming back to power along with healthy earnings growth in the coming quarter.

Global investment banker, Goldman Sachs raised its investment view on Indian equities to 'overweight'. It expects earnings to grow 16 percent this year with Nifty50 index to reach 12,500 in 12 months.

"We like banking and domestic cyclical sectors and recommend Nifty calls, value cyclical and oversold quality mid-caps to participate in the current rally”, it said in a report.
