These NSE stocks hit their 52-week highs or lows on July 24

SUMMARY

Indian benchmark indices traded lower on Wednesday but off the day's lows. The Sensex traded below 38,000. The Nifty was also near 11,300 mark. At 03.00 pm, the BSE Sensex was down 161.49 points, or 0.43 percent, at 37,821.25, and the Nifty 50 was trading 72 points, or 0.64 percent, lower at 11,259.05. Here are some stocks that hit their 52-week highs or lows on the NSE on July 24.

Shares of Power Grid rose 1.2 percent to hit its 52-week high of Rs 213 per share on the NSE.

SBI Life Insurance climbed 4.1 percent to hit its 52-week high of Rs 808.50 per share. The company has posted an increase of 5 percent in its net profit to Rs 371.90 crore in the first quarter ended June 30. The gross written premium during the April-June period of 2019-20 grew 41 percent to Rs 6,690 crore. Of this, revenue from new business premium jumped 52 percent to Rs 3,150 crore, while that from renewal premium were up 32 percent to Rs 3,540 crore.

HDFC Life rose 4.8 percent to hit its 52-week high of Rs 533 per share on Wednesday.

Shares of SAIL declined 5.8 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 43.35 per share on weak metal prices.

Shares of Vodafone Idea fell 6.6 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 9.85 per share on rapid fall in subscriber base.

Shares of Ashok Leyland fell 4.1 percent to touch its 52-week low of Rs 71.90 per share after the company announced a dividend of Rs 3.10 per share at its annual general meeting on Tuesday.

M&M Financial shares slumped 14.9 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 289.15 per share after India's largest tractor financier reported a 66 percent slump in its June-quarter consolidated net profit.

JSW Steel fell 6.2 percent to touch its 52-week low of Rs 246.75 per share on the NSE amid falling metal prices.

Bharat Forge shares declined 2.6 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 421.40 per share.

Strides Pharma dropped 1.3 percent to hit its 52-week low of Rs 337.55 per share.
